Event Coordinator
We are seeking a reliable and organized Event Coordinator (Contractor) to assist with planning and executing in-person events for the Leaders are Readers program. This role is critical to ensuring events run smoothly and provide a positive experience for all participants.
- Coordinate logistics for monthly Leaders are Readers events.
- Set up and take down event materials (tables, signage, literature, etc.).
- Oversee the event registration table and welcome attendees.
- Collect attendance data and ensure accurate tracking.
- Distribute and gather post-event surveys.
- Occasionally staff a booth at community events for program outreach (as needed).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to various event sites.
- Comfortable engaging with children, families, and community members.
- Ability to lift event materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Prior event coordination experience is a plus, but not required.
- Contract-based hourly role.
- Must be available every first Saturday (9 AM – 2 PM)
- Community event dates and times vary; flexibility required.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability preferred.
