DESCRIPTION:On May 9\, 2012\, at the age of 50\, Stacy L. Robinson succumbed to multiple melanoma\, days before he was to help celebrate the re-opening of the Jimmy Lee Rec Center Athletic Fields where he spent his youth. Now\, Stacy's constellation of friends\, family and fans will celebrate his spirit and secure his place as a permanent role model for generations of neighborhood youth.\n\n	 \n\n	City of Saint Paul will soon announce the renaming of the renovated fields at Jimmy Lee Recreation Center for local\, beloved football player\, Stacy L. Robinson.  The opportunities available to Stacy at the neighborhood Recreation Center prepared and encouraged him to become a multi-sport hero at nearby Central High School in St. Paul.  He went on to become a professional wide receiver in the NFL for the New York Giants from 1985-91.  In the Superbowl XXI victory over the Denver Broncos\, Robinson was responsible for catching three passed for a team-high 62 yards.  Robinson caught 48 passes for 749 yards and seven touchdowns during his time with Giants.  Following his playing career\, he pursued a graduate degree and eventually became Director of Player Development or the NFL Players Association\, encouraging current and retired players to plan for their futures.\n\n	 \n\n	Please join us as we welcome Robin P.
