SUMMARY:Economic Development Summit Cyber Series Part 5: Environment "Redesigning Life"
DESCRIPTION:We've rescheduled our Postponed PART 3 of our Economic Summit!\n\n\n\nRedesigning Life\n\n\n\nThe arrival of a widely available vaccine for the coronavirus remains beyond our current horizon\, and some experts predict the "social distancing" environment could last for years instead of months. Do we need to start thinking about redesigning the spaces in which we physically interact with one another? Will the "office" or the "store" need to be redesigned? Are the days of shoulder to shoulder entertainment venues and sports stadiums a bygone era? Can we redesign our social gathering places to give people the confidence that they can safely return?\n\n \n\n~Moderated by Jill Schroeder\, Pope Architects. \n\n\n\nJill Schroeder\, CID Senior Certified Interior Designer & Senior Planner\, Pope Architects\n\n\n\nJill Schroeder is a Senior Certified Interior Designer and Senior Planner at Pope Architects and is a leader in the firm's senior living practice. Her established and varied experience in all aspects of the design process complements Pope Architects' commitment to provide the best in senior housing and healthcare interiors. With over 26 years in the field\, Jill is committed to pushing for innovative approaches to design while optimizing function with the best interest of each resident at heart. A special interest in Memory Support spaces continues to motivate her in thinking outside the box to serve the sensitive needs of these individuals.\n\n\n\nJill is passionate about continuing to push the boundaries for senior living design environments by challenging providers to emulate spaces to feel safe and comfortable. She has presented her expertise at Environments for Aging Conferences and LeadingAge Conferences. Jill serves on the FGI [Facility Guidelines Institute] revision team as they create new language for the guidelines to be issued in the next FGI publication. She is Vice Chair for the Residential Emergency Crisis and COVID Preparedness team as well as the Modular Construction FGI Subcommittee.
