SUMMARY:Celebration of Nonprofits: Surveying Nonprofits
DESCRIPTION:Has your nonprofit experienced a loss in funding? Did you have to change your annual event to virtual or cancel? Are you feeling anxious about the future? \n\n\n\nYOU ARE NOT ALONE!\n\nAccording to surveys conducted by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits\, many nonprofits around the state are feeling stressed as they struggle to find new revenue and continue to provide their services. Join us as we welcome the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits to discuss their recent survey work.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nThe Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) convenes the collective power of 2\,200 nonprofit members across the state to do more together than what could be done apart. In an era of epic disruption posed by the challenges of COVID-19 and reckonings with systemic racism\, real-time information and peer support are crucial resources for nonprofits providing essential community services. Since April 9\, 2020 MCN has conducted three responsive surveys of over 1\,000 Minnesota nonprofits in total and written two reports summarizing key impacts of current events on the state's nonprofit sector. From reported levels of disruption to key programmatic and management changes implemented\, these reports offer insight into how different parts of the sector are faring. The key use of this research is for organizations to put their own situation in perspective in decision-making and communications with their own board\, supporters\, and staff.\n\n\n\nView the May 2020 Survey Here\n\n\n\nView the July 2020 Survey Here\n\n\n\n***The Midway Chamber\, in partnership with Hamline University\, is doing a multi-part series dedicated to nonprofits. Whether you work for a nonprofit\, serve on a board\, or are interested in how nonprofits function\, you are invited to attend.***
