SUMMARY:2021 Leadership Summit: "New Protocols: Life and Work Together after a Pandemic"
DESCRIPTION:The Leadership Summit is back! This time\, we will meet virtually for an hour session 11 a.m.- Noon and a keynote presentation noon-1 p.m. featuring Augsburg President Paul Pribbenow. Attendees can attend both the 11 am and noon portions or only one.\n\n\n\nIn this address\, President Paul Pribbenow will explore how Augsburg University has navigated through the intersection of three pandemics: COVID-19\, economic disruption\, and racial reckoning. He will focus on lessons learned that offer a framework for moving forward as an institution - lessons that may be relevant for all of us as we plan for a post-pandemic future.\n\n\n\nPAUL C. PRIBBENOW\, PH.D.\n\n\n\nPaul Pribbenow\, the 10th president of Augsburg University\, a private liberal arts university associated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and located in Minneapolis\, is recognized as one of the country's most engaging commentators and teachers on ethics\, philanthropy\, and American public life.\n\n\n\nSince joining Augsburg in 2006\, Pribbenow has enhanced the university's role as an active community partner in its urban setting. By identifying and embracing initiatives that mutually benefit Augsburg and its neighbors\, the university has achieved national recognition for its excellence in service learning and experiential education. Pribbenow also has become a leader among the 26 colleges and universities of the ELCA\, helping to articulate the gifts shaping and supporting Lutheran higher education in the 21st century. More information on President Pribbenow here.\n\n\n\n\n\nBreakout Seminar: Equity\, Blindspots\, and Perfectionism: The Why's\, How's\, and impact on ROTI\n\n~Featuring: Carole Burton\n\n\n\nHow can you adjust and survive in today's ever-changing business environment? Are you afraid to speak up\n\nfor fear of saying the wrong thing? Unsure what is the next right step for you\, your team or organizations? We need to step back to figure out what drives us to think in a set pattern. We have an opportunity to allow others to help us figure it out.\n\n\n\nThis engaging seminar invites you to explore unconscious bias. We discover Leadership Awareness and its impact on Return on Total Investment (ROTI). We ask why shifting into an adaptive mindset helps leaders evolve. We will explore Equity Awareness and define how to actively listen. We will expand ways for you to lead and help your organization thrive during change in the workplace.\n\n\n\nIn this seminar\, we will:\n\n	Understand how Blind spots (Implicit Bias) impact varying workplace situations.\n	Define what Equity is and discover why to choose to engage as adaptive thinking leaders is vital.\n	Explain how Perfectionism can limit Equity\, and how being a vulnerable leader improves the company culture.
